Slí Amach: Ishna Reel Set (Album Promo)

This set of tunes is the OG! The very original arrangement that Tara wrote for the band, back in 2009 in Dublin Ireland. Despite moving to Boston in 2012, a change in band members due to that move, and eventually a shift from a more Celtic rock sound to acoustic traditional music, this set has endured the test of time!
Featured in most of our shows, we knew we had to include it on our debut album.

Slí Amach: Tommy Peoples (Album Promo)

Ishna's debut album, “Slí Amach: Way Out” includes this rocking set of tunes!
Featuring Tara on fiddle and accompanied by more bodhrans than should be allowed in any Irish session, the band takes you through 3 jigs: Tommy Peoples, the Monaghan Jig, and Kilfenora #1
Get ready for this wild ride!

Slí Amach: Cucanandy (Album Promo)

Featured on Ishna's album “Slí Amach: Way Out” is this wonderful ancient Irish song, “Cucanandy”.
This is a “dandling” song - or in other words, one that a mother (or female relative) would use to bounce a baby on her knee to calm it.
Ishna pair this centuries-old song with a hop jig that dates to the mid 1800s, called “The Surround”, and harmonically & rhythmically explore both in this arrangement.

Slí Amach: Tippin' It Up to Nancy (Album Promo)

Who doesn't love a darkly humorous tale of a murderous wife? Beware the story of Nancy - it may be wrapped up here in a charming arrangement, but don't be fooled by her guile!

This is the opening track on Ishna's album, “Slí Amach: Way Out”. It invites the listener in to the world of Ishna, setting the stage for the songs and tunes that come after.

Slí Amach: Cúnla (Album Promo)

Ishna is thrilled to announce the release of its debut album, "Slí Amach: Way Out" - Jan 6, 2026!
“Slí Amach” was recorded at Cold Comfort Farm in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire: June 29 – July 2, 2025, and recorded, mixed, and mastered by Grammy-and-Oscar-winning producer Robert L. Smith
